As we prepare for the birth of Christ, Archbishop Mark Coleridge reminds us to have faith in its true meaning to ensure the star of Christmas remains alive and brilliant in our lives.
In his Christmas video message he warns that just as most of the stars in the night sky are in fact dead at their source, so too can Christmas become that way for us.
“How do we ensure the star of Christmas is brilliant and alive at its source? The only answer is faith; faith that Christmas is really all about God becoming one of us,” he said.
“That faith will make Christmas a powerful and enduring source of light, whatever the darkness may be.
“I hope the star you put on your tree, the star that rises in your hearts this Christmas, will truly be a guiding star that will lead you to Jesus, who in the end is the light that never fails.”
