About Me
A Detective for much of his 27 years in policing Matt at one stage Specialist education at the Police Academy before moving to Human Resources, Cultural Change and Restorative Justice. Later he moved into the Community sector as a Counsellor with particular expertise around family relationships, domestic violence and conflict management. He has continued teaching and consulting on Restorative across Australia and internationally with schools, community organisations, police, business, government and churches as well as maintaining a busy private practice as a Counsellor. Matt has qualifications in management, community services and workplace training. In 2008 Matt chaired the organising committee for the International Youth Forum in Goulburn, which provided the catalyst for his move to his current position as Senior Coordinator of Learning and Parish Support of CatholicLIFE.
The portfolio of Learning and Parish supports a range of services and support for Parishes and groups across the Archdiocese including, courses in Catholic Adult Faith Formation, the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine, the Right of Christian Initiation of Adults, a specific Sexual Integrity Program for school students and a range of workshops, presentations and other resources.
Matt and his wife Pam have lived in Goulburn since 1988, they have three adult children and enjoy their involvement as members of Mary Queen of Apostles Parish.
